Day 6, 7 & 8

Recording Going Through The Motions, day 6, 7 & 8: finishing up.

Right now we are wrapping up the recordings for our upcoming full-length. We spent the past few days tracking more guitars and vocals, and today we are adding the final touches. Everything is starting to come together and we are super excited about the finished result. Working with Ace has been a learning experience for each of us. We are happy we decided to work with him. Now we wait for mixes and we start planning the details of the release. Expect more news and updates on the release very soon.

Along with the release of the album, we are planning out some more things for 2012... As soon as there's more to say about those, we will post it online.

Lastly, Charlie from Another Youth talked to us about the new album, our plans for 2012, hardcore and music in general. Read the interview here.

Thank you all for your attention.

Love.

Day 4 & 5

Recording Going Through The Motions, day 4 & 5: more guitars and vocals.

The past few days we've been busy tracking more guitars. This has been the bulk of the work, and slowly but surely we're getting there. Today we are tracking rhythm guitars for the 4 last songs. Tomorrow we add leads to them and then all the basic guitarwork should be finished. Vocals are being tracked as well. First 3 songs have been recorded.

It's been a tiring 5 days so far, but seeing this record grow has been a great feeling. We can't wait to start playing out again. This saturday we will be playing the Accept The Change 12" release show and you might hear something new... All the more reason to come.

We spent last night revisiting some amazing 90's R&B and hiphop. Great night to say the least... Now you 'bout to feel the wrath of a menace...

Day 3

Recording Going Through The Motions, day 3: guitars.

We wanted to update this earlier, but a lack of time prevented us from posting here. Right now we are on day 3 in the studio. Day 1 was used recording drums and yesterday we spent looking for sounds and recording bass. Today we start the first day of tracking guitars.

So far everything sounds really good. Working with Ace keeps us on our toes and teaches us something new each day. Stay tuned for updates, the next one will come sooner, we promise.

PS: Happy belated halloween.

It's been way too long since we've updated this... A lot of cool stuff has happened since the last time we posted something on here, so I'll give you a quick rundown.

First and foremost, we finally have the vinyl for our split 7" with Xerxes. It looks and sounds amazing. We're so happy to be a part of this. We've sold quite a few of them already, but we still have some left. If you want to pick one up, come to a show, or buy it online.

Furthermore, our good friends in Ritual did a releaseweekend for their new LP called Paper Skin. We played Essen and Berlin and both shows were awesome. Thanks to everyone who showed up and listened to our German rambling. Ritual will be on tour all over Europe this summer with Soul Control, so be sure to check them out somewhere near you.

We have a few more awesome shows coming up this summer, including one in Germany. Check below for a list. Also, we are having a big sale on our merch. All shirts are now €8. Pick one up at shows or go visit our merchstore.

Thanks for reading.

Widowmaker

Teenage angst has paid off well
Now there's nothing left to sell
I quit everything
Forgive me for giving in

I could never be your saviour
I can barely save myself
If you ever need anything please don't
Hesitate to ask someone else

Never failed to feel the pain
From stomach burns to these gutter veins
I'm dead, dress me in black
Once you're gone you can never come back

From the tongue of a simpleton
From the heart of a lonely son
I just lack the passion
No fun

Goodbye my love
I tried

Hollow
This should be easy to understand

I can't be here anymore (no fun)
I just can't be here anymore (so numb)

You'll be much happier without me

We're extremely happy to announce that pre-orders for our split 7" with Xerxes have started. US-people should order from Mayfly Records directly. European kids should check order from Fist In The Air Records. There's some limited vinyl, so if you want that, you better hurry. We will have some copies ourselves around the end of April. We're really happy with the way our songs came out, but we're even more stoked on the Xerxes tracks. Thanks to Bob at Mayfly Records and Jamie at FITA Records for making it all happen. Punknews.org is going to do an exclusive stream of the record starting Tuesday, so keep an eye out on facebook and such as we'll be posting about it.

In other news, we've added a bunch of awesome shows to our schedule for the coming months. We will be playing Leverage Of Chaos fest, Skatefest, and last but not least Rock Herk with bands such as Title Fight, Swans, Blood Red Shoes, Gold Kids, and so much more. Needless to say we're stoked. Check out the dates at the bottom of the page.

We'll see you all very soon.

Monday, March 28, 2011

We played the last date of the Reflections Records tour last night. Even though we weren't able to play every date, we feel so happy to have been part of this tour. We met some awesome people along the way, we got to play with some of Europe's best bands and we went to places we hadn't been before. Loads of thanks and love to New Morality, Deal With It, Ritual and especially Martijn and Mila of No Turning Back for making this possible, and of course Johan and the Reflections crew for being there. We've said it before, but we really feel like we are on one of the best labels a band could wish for, and we're proud to be part of the Reflections family.

So in the coming months we'll be taking it a bit slower for a while. We're going to focus on writing new music. We still have a bunch of shows lined up in the next few months, including the Ritual - Paper Skin releaseweekend, and some other shows that will be announced very soon. Check the dates at the bottom of this page.

More news on here or on facebook as soon as there is something to announce. Thank you all for reading this.

Reflections tour starts tomorrow. Needless to say we're beyond excited to get to play with all of the bands on the lineup. Unfortunately due to some complications we won't be able to do all of the dates. We'll be playing Ibbenbüren (DE), Mol (BE), Paris (FR), Rosswein (DE) and Den Bosch (NL). Be sure to go to any of the dates because the tour rules hard without us.

In other news, we just got home from a ten-day tour with Lasting Traces. Sincere thanks go out to everyone who came out to a show, talked to us, fed us, gave us a floor to crash,... Despite all the problems we felt really happy to be out there and to have people care about us. Last but not least we want to thank Daniel, Thomas, Fabian and Andreas for being awesome people and putting up with our bullshit. We love those guys to death. Go listen to them here.

Everything for the split is pretty much done. Hopefully we'll have an update for you real soon.

Thanks for reading. Treat your loved ones well.

Right now, we're back at The Penthouse to record 2 songs for our upcoming split 7" with Xerxes.  The 7" will be released on Mayfly Records. No releasedate has been set, but as soon as we're done recording they'll be getting ready for the record to get pressed. If all goes well it shouldn't take too long. We're really excited to be working with Bob at Mayfly and the guys in Xerxes. Check them out. Band rules.

The tourdates for March have been updated as well. Check the bottom of this page for dates in your area. We'll be doing 10 days with Lasting Traces, and then at least 5 dates of the Reflections Records tour with No Turning Back, Ritual, New Morality and Deal With It. Keep checking this page for updates and new shows.
